A completely new front and back-end website infrastructure rebuild for Colorcon, a major US based pharma, incorporating multi-lingual site integration with a sophisticated CRM system, coupled with enhanced design and user experience.

Colorcon is a world leader in the development, supply and technical support of tablet film coating systems, modified release technologies, and functional excipients for the pharmaceutical industry.
With a global network of customer service and technical centres, offices and manufacturing plants, Colorcon’s best-in-class products and technologies are complemented by value-added services, which support all phases of pharmaceutical solid oral dose design, development and manufacture. As an industry leader, Colorcon also shares its expertise through a variety of ongoing customer educational courses, seminars and symposiums.
Colorcon has a complex and highly-specialised, multinational audience of people working within the pharmaceutical industry, from research & development through to regulatory and production. As such, a broad and detailed User Centred Design approach needed to be adopted to address all the audience needs in supporting the architecture for the site.

Our approach:
Colorcon approached Wild Dog with a view to restructuring their website front-end design and functionality, requiring an advanced CMS in four languages to be seamlessly integrated with a highly evolved and sophisticated back-end system. The project involved liaising with multiple stakeholders and a system launch including CMS training for the regional offices in Europe, North and Latin America, China and Japan.
In addition to the core website development, several Apps were developed and fully integrated into the website.
Included in the site development is:
- A comprehensive members-only, secure area
- Educational training and events section
- A CMS in four languages (English, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese)
- The writing and creation of large, dynamic parts of the site connected to dedicated REST API’s (60+) from Colorcon’s sophisticated back-end database.
- The design and build of several Apps.
