Colfe’s is one of London’s oldest academic schools and can trace its history back to the 15th Century. Although Colfe’s is rightly proud of its 360-year history, it is not burdened or defined by it. The pupils thrive in this mixed, dynamic and multi-cultural environment that celebrates both the future and the past; a unique characteristic that needed to be conveyed clearly in the new Colfe’s website.
Insight:
Wild Dog was approached with a view to completely redesigning its digital presence to reflect this lively creative culture. The brief was to deliver an innovative responsive site that faithfully conveyed their excellent academic achievement and happy students. Crucially, it needed to be simple and informative for a wide range of audiences – including current and prospective parents, former pupils, potential donors, the press and the local community.
“COVID-19 restrictions pose real challenges for school admissions teams. Not being able to visit a school when deciding on application for your child is extremely difficult. We worked with Wild Dog to create a virtual solution which would allow parents to experience everything they would on a normal open day – online. This was a unique brief that required creative thinking and a very quick turnaround.Kate Bridgman, Director of Admissions & Communications Colfes School
Wild Dog rose to the challenge and were able to respond – and adapt accordingly – to create a bespoke product for us. To do this during lockdown was an achievement in itself. We are thrilled with the result, ‘Virtual Colfe’s’ has quickly become the lynchpin of our admissions process and the feedback from prospective parents has been universally positive. We look forward to developing the site further and continuing to work with Michael and his team.

Our approach:
The new website delivered on all fronts, with a streamlined user journey, a light and airy design with clear navigation, inspiring new body of photography and rationalised brand guidelines. Importantly it balanced the content to reflect the varied target audience, where previously content was weighted to a few key areas.
In summary, Colfe’s now have a website that reflects its objective of being the independent day school of choice in South-East London.
