The Exagen Group is a new environmental organisation set up to develop and build the next generation of utility scale solar farms co-located with grid-balancing battery storage facilities.

With a totally new and freshly unique approach, Exagen plans to become a multi-asset developer, owner and operator of renewable energy projects. With strong values and ambitious growth plans at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution. 

Wild Dog Design was approached to establish the launch brand positioning and design a new visual identity for the company; coupled with branded print collateral and a new CMS enabled website. 

The Wild Dog Team took on our brief and delivered our brand on-point, understanding our identity and messaging. The process itself was enjoyable and the Wild Dog Team’s passion and care in getting it just right was indisputable.

To fortify Exagen’s positioning in the renewable energy sector, creating a forward-thinking visual identity was critical. Mirroring the organisation’s progressive mindset, we crafted a logo to embody a right-facing arrow with a subtle nod toward the power switch. 

To further reinforce the organisation’s actions and efforts, we worked closely with Exagen to develop the brand strap-line “Energising a cleaner future”. The use of modern, geometric typography and a modest, yet energetic colour palette complements the brand’s innovative approach to renewable energy.

In terms of the colourways our objective was to embrace a fresh and environmentally friendly approach, whilst ensuring the organisation could readily perform credibly within the financial City culture of established and professional.

The task included investigating and workshopping names, straplines and creating a future-proof brand hierarchy, whilst finding a niche positioning in a competitive but growing market.

Once the brand was established, the work included developing corporate guides and a variety of collateral assets (stationery, powerpoint, brand guides, imagery) to support in the company launch, as well as an inspiring launch website.

The aim of the small and flexible CMS driven website was to effectively portray the team and the new organisation’s years of experience; whilst putting in place the foundations for the website to grow as case studies and research data becomes increasingly available as the company reach grows. In support of Exagen, we offered hosting assistance, full training and on-going support service.
