Dogs in Madrid

Michael and JP attended the ‘The Convention on Pharmaceutical Ingredients’ (CPhI) in Spain’s capital last week. Our invitation came from our partners of four years standing, Colorcon, who provide a wide range of film coatings and formulation development assistance to the pharmaceutical industry.

The Dogs were tasked to design the graphics and an interactive touch-screen for Colorcon’s exhibition stand. The back-lit displays were designed using new and existing graphical elements and imagery including photography by Wild Dog Design.

The touch-screen is a multi-purpose display to present three interactive applications – all of which Wild Dog designed and built. The first calculates production efficiency; the second calculates excipient batch quantity; the third determines tablet colour by browsing various pill shapes in an extensive pre-determined set of Pantone® colours. We designed the touch-screen interface to be very simple and intuitive so that delegates could understand and operate immediately. We also incorporated an automatic play feature to show the corporate video when the apps were idle.
