How to create a sleek, modern and easy-to-use website for a free-range chicken restaurant in the heart of London's West End, offering on-line mobile booking for visitors and business locals alike?
Whyte and Brown is a casual dining restaurant serving delicious free-range chicken in the heart of London's Carnaby Street area. With an audience of young professionals, tourists and shoppers looking for a quick and fun meal, they required a website on which they could easily book a restaurant, read their menus and plan their visit. What we were certain we didn't want to create was an overly fussy site which became difficult to navigate and detracted from its core purpose.
Keeping the booking functionality centre stage of the homepage was clearly a priority, making it as easy as possible to use, whether its on their mobile whilst they're out and about, or their laptop or tablet. Keeping it simple and sleek, we also clearly signposted their menus and restaurant location via a Google maps plug in. We integrated Bookatable by Michelin into the site.
The website is designed in a sleek black and white scheme, with beautiful shots of their meals and drinks taking centre stage.
The whole site is integrated with Social Media, displaying their latest tweets, Instagram pics and blog posts. With their customers being avid 'Instagrammers', particularly sharing posts of their meals out, it was important for the brand to make this a really integral part of their website. Their newsletter sign up is also clearly signposted.
